A map illustrating the importance of Lebanon as one of the world’s most significant migratory bird flyways. During spring migration, from mid-February to mid-May, millions of birds travel northward from Africa toward Europe and Asia, passing through Lebanon along one of the most important global migration corridors. Lebanon also witnesses autumn migration from late August to mid-November, with a dense southward movement of birds from Europe and Asia toward Africa. This season represents the peak period in terms of the number of migrating birds.
