The joint operations team of the Anti-Poaching Unit (MESHC – SPNL – CABS) carried out night field missions in the Anfeh area in cooperation with the North Investigation Unit. The operations resulted in the arrest of six night hunters at three different locations, with the seizure of six hunting rifles, as well as searchlights, laser devices, and batteries used for night hunting. Based on instructions from the North Public Prosecutor, legal measures were taken against the offenders.
These joint operations between the unit, the North Investigation Unit, the Gendarmerie Command, and the environmental judiciary come within the framework of ongoing efforts to protect wildlife, promote sustainable hunting, and curb illegal hunting.
This article was published on this date when the organization was known as the Middle East Sustainable Hunting Center. The name was later changed to the Middle East Center for Sustainable Harvest and Anti-Poaching.
