The Anti-Poaching Unit APU (MESHC – SPNL – CABS), in cooperation with the Municipality of Anjar, delivered an awareness session for Hima guardians and hunters. The session introduced the work of the APU, highlighted the importance of birds and some of their distinctive behaviors, and included practical information on wildlife photography and camouflage techniques.
The session was delivered by:
Adonis El Khatib, President of the Middle East Center for Sustainable Hunting (MESHC) and Field Coordinator for Responsible Hunting at the Society for the Protection of Nature in Lebanon (SPNL).
Shirine Bou Rafoul, Head of the Anti-Poaching Unit (APU) and Director of the CABS International office in Lebanon.
Maroun Bou Rafoul, Field Investigator in the Anti-Poaching Unit and a member of the CABS team in Lebanon.
This article was published on this date when the organization was known as the Middle East Sustainable Hunting Center. The name was later changed to the Middle East Center for Sustainable Harvest and Anti-Poaching.
