Rescue of an Injured Buzzard in Barja

Rescue of an Injured Buzzard in Barja

Following a call from environmental activist Roger Saad to the Anti-Poaching Unit (APU) reporting the presence of an injured buzzard in the Barja area with a local resident, the Injured Bird Rescue Section of the Unit intervened, retrieved the bird, and referred it to APU’s veterinary doctor for the necessary medical treatment.

The Unit reminds that birds of prey are not hunting game and are protected under international conventions. It also highlights that spring is the breeding season, and that a true hunter does not carry a gun during this period.
