The Mukhtar of Alma/North Delivers an Injured Stork with a Ring to the APU Unit

After a migratory stork was shot in the Jabal Terbol area in northern Lebanon and fell in the nearby village of Alma, the Mukhtar of Alma, Mr. Samer Kanaan, contacted the APU unit to rescue the injured bird and return it to nature. However, the unit’s veterinarian confirmed that the bird’s injury was too severe for it to survive.

It is worth noting that the bird was wearing a Czech ring bearing the number “YK026,” which was placed on May 28, 2022, in the area of Bor u Tachova (near Plzeň) in Bohemia.
