Based on documented complaints supported by photos and GPS coordinates submitted by sustainable hunters in West Bekaa to the Anti-Poaching Unit, the Lebanese–International Joint Operations Team (MESHC – SPNL – CABS), in coordination with the Bekaa Investigation Detachment of the regional command, carried out a mission to combat nighttime hunting violations in the area, especially in duck habitats.
The Detachment arrested several violators and handed them over to the relevant authorities. It also seized hunting rifles, calling devices, spotlights, cameras used in night hunting, as well as a Kalashnikov rifle,while others field and there vehicles were impounded.
This article was published on this date when the organization was known as the Middle East Sustainable Hunting Center. The name was later changed to the Middle East Center for Sustainable Harvest and Anti-Poaching.
