Based on documented complaints from sustainable hunters in northern Lebanon, the APU Lebanese–international joint operations team MESHC – SPNL – CABS, in coordination with the Gendarmerie Command and with field cooperation from the North Investigation Unit, carried out a mission to combat night hunting in the Beino and Abdeh areas.
A number of offenders were arrested and handed over to the relevant police stations, and hunting rifles, electronic calling devices, and searchlights used in night hunting were seized. Several other night-hunting spotters fled into nearby fields upon sighting the patrols; their vehicle license plates were documented in preparation for follow-up and pursuit by the competent security authorities.
This article was published on this date when the organization was known as the Middle East Sustainable Hunting Center. The name was later changed to the Middle East Center for Sustainable Harvest and Anti-Poaching.
